The founding mothers of the OSU colony wanted to start a multicultural sorority at their campus for one sole purpose—diversity.  As women of different cultures and ethnicities, they felt that it was their duty and goal to represent and educate others about her culture, heritage, and traditions in order to promote respect, awareness, dignity, understanding, and peace among all individuals.  These ladies also wanted to create an outlet for the many minority young women of OSU to get involved with Greek life.  This is achieved through active involvement in philanthropic and community service activities.  As DPO at OSU, we will strive to be recognized as a diverse group, a contribution to the community, and an invaluable asset to social education.

These women had a vision to bring DPO to the OSU campus, and succeeded on May 28th, 2006. With the hard work and non stop dedication from the active sisters, what started as a colony finally received Chapter Status on June 21st, 2011 and were recognized on April 3rd, 2007 as a member of the Unified Greek Council.

The Nu Chapter is the first Asian Interest sorority in the state of Oregon. They are also the first to receive Chapter Status in the Pacific Region for Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc.
